Short Bio
Horizonz are a five-piece commercial melodic pop rock band from Devon, UK, combining anthemic songwriting, powerful vocals, soaring guitars, distinctive keys and a dynamic live show built for festival stages.
More than a decade of writing and performing together has shaped a sound that moves between atmospheric, reflective moments and huge melodic choruses, with strong musicianship and genuine audience connection at the heart of the band. Blind keyboard player Jason Aughton brings a distinctive musical voice to Horizonz, with his expressive playing and melodic arrangements forming an integral part of the band's sound.
2026 marked a significant step forward for Horizonz, with appearances including the Main Stage at Shebfest and Jurassic Fields Festival. Building on that momentum, the band have already secured a Saturday appearance at Forest Fest, Ireland for 2027, as they continue to expand beyond their South West roots.
The band have received BBC Radio airplay and interviews, alongside international radio support, and continue to release new original music including their latest single, This Life.
With momentum continuing to build, Horizonz are focused on taking their energetic, melodic live show to larger festival stages and new audiences across the UK and beyond.
Why Horizonz?
At the heart of Horizonz is a combination of strong musicianship, melodic songwriting and genuine audience connection. The band’s sound is built around powerful vocals, expressive guitars, distinctive keys, layered harmonies and a driving rhythm section, moving naturally from atmospheric moments into big, anthemic choruses.
Blind keyboard player Jason Aughton brings a distinctive musical voice to the band, while Rob Murphy’s lead vocals and guitar work give the songs much of their melodic and emotional character. Alongside Sam Davies, Rory Henderson and Gavriil Popa, the five-piece create a dynamic live sound with each member bringing a recognisable part of the Horizonz identity.
What ultimately defines Horizonz live is the ability to combine emotionally driven original music with memorable hooks, energy and audience participation, creating a set that can feel intimate one moment and open out into a full festival singalong the next.
Audience Growth and Digital Momentum
2026 has seen a clear acceleration in Horizonz' online reach, supported by a combination of organic content and targeted promotion. Over the latest 90-day period, Facebook generated 201 net new followers, taking the audience to 2,762 followers, while page visits increased by 26.6% to more than 5,000.
Across recent Meta content, Horizonz generated more than 53,000 views, with 93.2% coming from non-followers, showing that the band's content is increasingly reaching audiences beyond its existing fanbase. Reels are driving the majority of that discovery, accounting for 85.4% of views.
Spotify is also continuing to move in the right direction, with monthly listeners up 22.4% and streams up 29.6% over the latest 28-day period. This growing digital reach is developing alongside the band's live momentum, with festival appearances, new original music and increasingly consistent short-form content helping Horizonz reach new audiences ahead of 2027.
